It's been the Daily Show and the Colbert Report that's helped me keep my sanity the past few years.
Ah, the 13th Century... So, then, you're voting for the Medieval Couple?
I'm with Garpu. Stewart and Colbert have basically kept me sane. (And Rachel Maddow to some degree.)
No, I think McCain/Palin are more 14th century -- think famine, war, and plague.
Obama/Biden are much more like the optimistic enlightenment of the 13th century.
BTW, speaking of calling Obama a socialist, did you see Colbert's interview with Brian Moore, the actual Socialist candidate for president?
And, the very silly DaColbert Code, in which he uses mystical connections between things to predict who the president will be.
