I liked:

While some view the Catholic Church as a tightrope, he sees it as a “very broad river, with some to the right and some to the left.”

“There are some who cling to the rocks as long as they can, and others who just go with the flow.”

When we visited, it definitely had a great vibe. Wish we could attend more often. Especially the jazz mass and the potluck. I went to an Episcopal church for a while in college, and it did a weekly potluck that really seemed to make a difference in the community. I still have very powerful memories of that.

Ascension is very cool. I wonder what kind of sin church-envy rates?cowboyangelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13452987299073540171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14639740.post-78047635732660551112008-04-17T19:20:00.000-04:002008-04-17T19:20:00.000-04:00Cool. :) Sounds like a great place.Cool. :) Sounds like a great place.Garpuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09460312942820868366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14639740.post-38830958074599271362008-04-17T15:26:00.000-04:002008-04-17T15:26:00.000-04:00Beautiful! My church looks like it belongs in an upscale strip mall - no candles, no stained glass, only two statues :(crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05681674503952991492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14639740.post-63453733276160843562008-04-17T14:10:00.000-04:002008-04-17T14:10:00.000-04:00And where I carried those damn monster potted palm...And where I carried those damn monster potted palms all the way down from the roof through narrow, winding stairs into the basement. Bet they didn't talk about the palms in the article, did they! The church probably keeps that from the press.cowboyangelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13452987299073540171noreply@blogger.com
